ABOUT US

Team Green Darbhanga is a youth activist group that aims to make Darbhanga a cleaner and greener place. The team is committed to encourage the people to keep the town clean by conducting awareness through cleanliness drives. We are also determined to educate the people through wall arts, street plays(Nukkad natak) and much more.

The team was founded by four young women, Kanishka Joshi, Richa Shrivastava, Aakriti Choudhary and Nigar Hassan, in September 2019. We started off with our first cleanliness drive at Harahi Pokhar with minimal experience but still managed to transform the area with our efforts!!! The better-looking place then motivated us to push our boundaries. Over the time, we gained vivid experience through continuous and committed ground work and now we are a team of more than 40 members working together to achieve the goal of “Swachha Darbhanga”.

The Team is involved in various community projects to reach out to a larger group of people. These projects involve street plays, educational wall paintings, interviews with environmental activists and cleanliness competitions. By doing such tasks, we also aim to explore the potential and talents of our hard-working members.

Now, since “Team Green Darbhanga” is more than an year old, we are proud to say that we have successfully brought positive changes on many fronts of the society. We have conducted sanitary napkin distribution and menstrual health awareness campaign in rural Darbhanga. We have also organized clothes-donation flood relief campaigns.

Our team is determined to battle all the obstacles that come in the path of creating a better and beautiful Darbhanga. As we do our part, we request you to support us in this journey and be a part of THE CHANGE.
